Their mission is to develop and implement global standards for sustainable palm oil. As part of this initiative, they work with various entities, one of which is Puratos. FSC offers sustainable sourcing solutions that supports responsible forestry. They are the leader in sustainable forest management, operating the world’s most rigorous and trusted forest certification system. At Puratos, we use FSC for our packaging materials.
CDP is the gold standard for environmental reporting , running a global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage and improve their environmental impacts. Puratos scores B both for Water and Climate Change.
Some of Puratos sites and our 60 days Chocolate have achieved carbon neutrality. This is certified by the CO2 - NEUTRAL label obtained from Vinçotte according to the PAS 2060 international standard for CO2 neutrality, which guarantees credible climate action. The sites that are carbon neutral: Philippines, Austria, Vietnam, Thailand, and Brazil.
Sedex is the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange – a not-for-profit organization dedicated to driving improvements in responsible and ethical business practices in global supply chains. The Sedex tool gives us a better understanding of our supply chain and helps us monitor and assess the sustainability performance of our suppliers, as well as the associated social, environmental and business ethics risks. Puratos is a member of SEDEX.
